WHAT WE BELIEVE
FAMILY FOCUSED, PRESENCE FILLED, TRUTH BASED
Central Community Church in Robertsdale is a family of believers brought together through their shared faith in Jesus Christ. We value covenant relationships and look forward to walking with each person and family whom God plants at Central.
We aim to be Spirit led and believe that the gifts of the Spirit are still at work today, as God is the same, yesterday today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). We hold that God’s word is authoritative in all manners related to truth and spiritual life (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We are committed to standing on the Truth of God’s word, in spite of cultural norms or practices.
We desire to see God’s kingdom established on earth through His people wherever they may be. To that end we seek to work together with other believing churches and ministries to build His kingdom, as we are just one part of God’s body here on earth (1 Cor. 12:12-27)
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He created the earth, the universe, and man by a direct, immediate act.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His incarnation, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.
We believe in the fall of man, that he is lost and in need of a Savior.
We believe that salvation can be neither deserved nor earned, but that is the gift of God through Jesus Christ, bestowed in mercy upon those who accept it by faith.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are lost unto damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, indwelling the Christian, enabling him to live a godly life and to do the work of the ministry through the supernatural power of God, in the world but not of it, sharing His saving grace through the love of God and the power of His Spirit.
The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Central Community Church’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, the elders of the church are the final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
